Honestly, I'm not entirely sure if they still host weddings, but back in 2020, they hosted my Cousin's wedding. It was beautiful. And I'm gonna talk a little bit about this beautiful place.

Firstly, this is a nursery.
If you're in the Clanton, AL area, and you love gardening, I highly recommend visiting this place.
I have walked around the enormous property. You think you've seen all the plants, and then there's more.
If you're going to be driving by the "big peach" water tower, then I recommend taking a detour and visiting this place. Get yourself some fresh fruit and veggies, pots for your home or plants for your yard. It's a treat to just walk through and look at the beauty.

But what about having a wedding here?

Let's talk about it.

PROS:
Spacious / Beautiful aesthetics / Room for guests / Private / Quiet / In Nature

With tons of space, it is a great place for a wedding.
There's room for the ceremony, reception, dining and dancing.
This particular location had a wrap around porch, so the couple could have first looks with the parents and have a moment to themselves away from their guests.

Because it's a nursery and it's out in nature, out in the rural country, you can believe there was beauty everywhere! Greenery, flowers, tress, everywhere. Beautiful places to pose were easy to find.
Plus, with a small pond, there was also water and the ability to get all the colors in the reflection.
When I went to preview this location with my Client/Cousin, I immediately got excited.
Everywhere I looked was beautiful!

Because of this particular location, it was incredibly quiet and private.
Some people lived down the road, but loud music was not a concern of ours.
 

Let's say you want to get married, maybe not at this particular location, but somewhere like it.
What are the cons?

CONS:
Hot + humid / bugs / no inside use / not a lot of lighting after dark

Because this is Alabama, it was September, hot and humid. We were all sweating but having a great time.
Depending on the location of your outdoor wedding, and time of year, this may not be a problem for you.

Because again, it's the South, there was bugs out and about. We had to swat them away but it wasn't terrible. Just an annoyance.

With this particular location/venue, inside use was not allowed. I think they might have had a restroom, but I'm not entirely sure. Because this property had a store, they locked everything up and left. So what we had outside was what we could use.

Because it is out in the rural country, there was limited lighting.
It was only because of some outdoor lighting that was used for decorations,
the DJs lights/set up and my personal lighting that we were able to see.

It was very dark and a lot of people had to use their phones if they walked away from the food area or the dancing area. Fortunately, I had my light for pictures and filming. Otherwise, I would have not been able to see anyone's faces.

So whether it's here or somewhere like this location,
outdoor lighting is something you may need to consider.

In conclusion:

Having an outdoor wedding at a place that grows plants and flowers is absolutely a beautiful idea.
If you don't like nature, heat or bugs, it's probably not for you.
But if you like being outside, open skies, greenery and being able to see the stars while you're dancing with your new spouse, then this is something for you. Just take into consideration anything you might need. Even if that's a porta-potty.
