Reasons why you should have your wedding at camelot manor

I had the absolute privilege of filming a wedding here, for another cousin of mine.
The staff was friendly and this place was an ABSOLUTE showstopper.
If I could do 5 more weddings here, I would.

Let's dive into all the things I LOVE about this place.
PROS:

Tons of natural light
As a photographer/videographer, I was overjoyed at all the windows and how much natural light poured into each room. There was no bad lighting anywhere, except the Groom's quarters.
It had good lighting just not as good as the other rooms.
I also credit this to how Camelot Manor was decorated.
Bright walls and minimalist styled furniture keep the room simple, clean and let the light flood in.

Fairytale charm
I don't throw the word "fairytale" around, but here, I dropped it like confetti.
I was constantly telling people how charming this venue was. You really feel like you've been transported into your favorite Jane Austen story. The furniture even had an old-time charm about it. The curtains, the stairs, the nooks and corners, the benches in the windows, long hallways, the porch where we held the reception and the old truck you can pose with - Everywhere was immaculately charming.

Elegant aesthetic
A beautiful color palette is the first thing you'll notice. The furniture is also stylish (as I have mentioned like 3 times) literally everything is decorated so stylishly and thoughtfully.
They say it's all in the details and it really is here.
They spared no expense in making this place charming, elegant and beautiful.

Room for all your needs
Multiple rooms are here. A room for the Bride and her party to get ready in, a room where we went for extra footage and pictures, a room for the Groom and his men, a big dining room, outdoor patio/porch for eating, an open area down below for extra tables and seating, and a huge covered area for the ceremony. Not to mention the beautiful field next to the house that was used for pictures. It was a private place where the bride and groom could get away from the crowd but still be close to all the action.
This place really has it all.

Convenient location
Located just off of highway 280, heading towards Birmingham, it was an easy drive coming from Phenix City, AL. You can spot it from the road so you don't miss it. It truly is beautiful to see.
Is there any cons?
Well, possibly. Let's talk about it.

CONS

Not disabled person friendly
One of the first things I noticed is there is a lot of stairs.
The stairs that lead you up to the 2nd story are deep and narrow. Even though I was in my late 20s when I filmed here, I still held onto the railing to avoid falling. My mom noticed her back hurt after going up and down the stairs. So if you have back problems or use a wheelchair to get around, You may have to use another space to get ready. If you wanted to get married here.

Not budget friendly
While this is place absolutely gorgeous and possibly worth every penny,
it is not budget friendly. Unless you have a large budget.
Even the add-ons are pricey.
The lowest package for a wedding (on a Sunday) starts at $6,200.

Noticeable noise from busy highway
Like I mentioned, it's located just off of HWY 280.
But because of the busy highway, I noticed a lot of road noise.
For the most part, you learn to tune it out.
Where the reception and cutting the cake was held at, it did block a lot of the noise.
But in the front yard and other places, it was a definitely noticeable at times. Especially if an 18-wheeler or someone with loud music or an ambulance drove by.
I wouldn't say it's a deal breaker, just something that I noticed.

In conclusion:

If you're looking for a charming, fairy tale vibe for your wedding day, and you're located in Alabama or are needing a venue in Alabama, and money isn't an issue,
then this place would be one to strongly consider.

But if you're working with a tight budget, this may be one to ax off the list.
