My Apologies I had NO IDEA it had been late September since I made a post. I apologize. October was a busy time for myself and the school I work at part time. I had no photoshoots, and only one Mary Kay party. I did however have a few meetings with a potential new client who needed work done on a website and wanted me to film and photograph some of their products. So far, that hasn't progressed any. But I'm here if they need me. Other than that, not much got done in that month. I was mainly focused on creating my "Maleficent" costume for Halloween which turned out amazing. The children's reactions were my favorite. Only one was a little scared. She didn't cry. But she didn't want to take a picture with me. Even thought mom really wanted her too. Because her daughter was dressed like Sleeping Beauty. It would have been completely appropriate. But I didn't want her scared. So I just waved and kept walking. It was such a fun night. And completely worth all the hard work I put into the costume. Remember, remember the work of november I just want to say THANK YOU to all my clients who hired me in the month of November. It was by far my busiest month of the year. (so far.) I had 4 (and a half?) photoshoots. I have 2 more scheduled. And I have some bookings for a birthday party in December. I also have a new client. Her and her husband have created an awesome product. I get to help market it and I'm in the process of designing their website for them. As work progresses, I will be posting more about that. And sharing the link to the website so you can visit it yourself. I also made another logo for Big Les. (the radio station mentioned in the previous post) I'll be adding that soon to the Artfolio. So as you can tell, this month has been very busy. And I am completely grateful for it. I sent out a graphic and text message to all my clients on Thanksgiving Day, letting them know I was "thankful for them". I'm happy to say, the list of Clientele was long. I am grateful for that. IMPORTANT: prices have changed Also, just to let you know, I have changed my prices. For photography and videography as well. I do not have the time to update the prices on the videography page right now, but those prices will be changing too. I needed to simplify it for myself. But also make it customizeable for my clients. I've been listening to my Clients, and the one thing I keep hearing the most is "custom". I keep hearing that you want a "custom" amount of pictures. But if I have "packages" of this many and that many, that doesn't leave much room for you to get a estimated price on your custom number of pictures. Does it? Nope. So by charging per picture instead of per "package", this allows you to build your own package and estimate the price for yourself. It helps you to see if this will be a good deal for you, without having to come to me. We're cutting out the middle man here. Which is, myself. But this makes the process simpler for me and quicker and easier for you. We're getting straight to the point. I'm very excited and happy with this change. And please remember that consultations are always free. So if you ever want to talk to me about your options, we can totally do that. We can talk about things like: shooting locations, special effects on your pictures, getting prints or even payment plans. So feel free to schedule a meeting with me today! =) bottom line There's a LOT going on. Be sure to follow my Facebook page facebook.com/ladymusicc to keep up with all that's going on. I try to post on here. But if I forget too, you will see it on there. There's also discounts, giveaways, and you can see previews of projects I'm working on, as it's happening. So be sure to follow me on there. Or Instagram @Ladymusicc because I post on there as well.
Thank you SO MUCH for supporting my small business and my "not so small" dreams. Hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving. Let's go Christmas! -LM

more like summertime "madness!" I've been INCREDIBLY busy this summer. I've been working longer shifts at my part-time job, trying to spend more time with my little brother, working on websites and graphics, and trying to keep my business afloat. I was forced to abandon the attention of my social medias and my website. I tried to update when I could. But any personal projects got tossed to the side. As this busy season comes to an end, I'm focusing on catching up on work. featured video of the month Well, let's get on with the updates. I finally added a new "featured video of the month." This is of a worship band called "Through the Veil". They are no longer together, but they are still doing their own thing as individuals. I loved their music and thought they needed their own music video. I created this 7 or 8 years ago. I was JUST getting started in making videos. And I loved watching it come together. I still enjoy watching it. Because I used various video clips from different sources, I thought of making it black and white to make it look more cohesive. And what a great choice to make. I think for a beginner, the finished outcome was really good. extra features on home page I added some extra features on the home page. On my "occupation" I've added "graphic designer" and "website designer". I have also added the stats for those 2 categories on the "my stats" section. I will be adding my prices for those 2 categories soon. promos and photoshoots I'm planning on adding photoshoots VERY soon. As well as doing some promos in the fall. So be looking out for discounts!
Besides all of this, I changed the header on this page from color to black and white. Just to give it a different look. I did it. Thank you for reading and visiting the site. Have a great weekend! LM That's all I can think to name this entry as I start to type. There's been so many things I've wanted to get done, or get to and haven't had a chance to do because I had so many other things to do. But FINALLY, I got a break and have been able to get things done. One of those things being.... services page I've wanted to show my full list of services I offer. Along with different packages to choose from, what comes with those packages and how much those packages cost. And FINALLY! I am happy to report that it's all officially up! I still have to post the Bundle packages, but that won't take long. graphic design services Due to so many people requesting of my Graphic Design services, I decided to add this "service" to the site. I wanted to give this as another option for people to choose from. A few years ago, when I was thinking of putting myself out there and really begin advertising myself and my services, I assumed I'd put the job title "Photographer, Videographer, Graphic & Website Designer". Now I know, it's a mouthful. Could you imagine that on a business card? I could. But, that's my job to be able too. However, I knew that was too much to advertise. So I decided what was most important to me was to be known as a "Photographer and Videographer". So those two services were going to be the only ones I listed. And yet, here I am planning on adding a third service. Which is Graphic Design. Whether or not that makes it onto my business cards is still questionable. But, as of right now,.... I will be adding Graphic Design packages and prices, very soon. Website Design is something I'm still doing as well for Clients. Only a few select Clients. I'd rather keep it this way for a while. But if word gets out more, or if people are interested in me creating them websites, then Website Designer may make it onto my job title as well. But until then, I'm leaving that one as a "hush hush" service. ;) New music video "wild angels" One last thing before I end this blog entry at 3:20 AM.
I am in the works of filming a new music video to Martina McBride's song "Wild Angels". I will explain more on this matter later. Why I'm doing and what it's for, all that jazz. But the thing I'd like to highlight about this project, is that I will be recording myself singing to it. Not just filming myself. But I will also record myself singing it and make a music video to it as well. I must say, I'm terribly excited about this particular project. It's the most excited I've been about a music video since "Into the Blue". I am however nervous about people hearing me sing. How I'll sound, what they'll think, all the usual crap. But regardless how I FEEL, I am moving forward with this. And I am VERY excited. I cannot wait to share it with you. More details on that are on the way. So just sit tight... Thank you for checking in. You're such a lovely person. Have a great week! LM Well, I tried. It was catchy. Sort of. And by "April hours" I mean all the hours I've spent in April (and March) working on projects. I've been so busy spending "hours" on other people's projects, I had no time for my own. The "May Powers" was my way of saying, good stuff is to come in May. Hopefully I'll get to show off my super "powers". And by that I mean, stuff I've been making & working on. When I last wrote, I know I said I was going to try and update the blog once a month. I forgot too last month. (I was VERY busy.) And this month I haven't even touched my site. So updating the blog was the last thing on my mind. But here I am, at the end of April. Better late than never, eh? And while I'm here, let me tell you about some new stuff. Featured video of the month.... Now introducing a NEW section to the Home Page. "Featured Video of the Month." YES! I recently made a Blooper video to the short film "When December Comes". Took me 4 years to get to it. But I finally made it. Me and my older brother (who stars in it) watched it together. We were on the phone and watching it at the same time, commenting on how funny it was and how much fun we had filming it. After watching the bloopers, we decided to go back and watch the real film. We loved it! We were laughing and awing and were both impressed with the sound and visual effects. However, I was disappointed when I saw it only had 11 views. 11 views. ELEVEN! That's just sad. After all my hard work on this video. From the music to matching the sound effects with our movements. From the visual effects to panning and zooming in and out to create the illusion of movement; this was serious work. Even if it was for comedy's sake. And after all this hard work, I have 11 views. It was disappointing to both me and my brother. So I came up with the idea to feature it on the home page. To see if I could get it a little more attention. And I thought, this would be a great way to get my other videos some attention. Maybe an older one that's tucked away and hard to find. It's easy for my newer ones to get attention. It's the first thing you see. But the others that you have to dig for, they may get over looked. Which is sad, since some of my favorites are the older videos. This way however. I can bring those to the front and let them shine! Giving older videos a chance to be noticed again. Let them have their moment in the spot light. So this is a new addition I'm really excited to have on the site. So be sure to check that out every month. Prom pictures This month, the only work I did as far as photography or videography goes, was I did Prom pictures. And they turned out fabulous! (I think.) It was a race against the rain. But it finally stopped raining and we were able to relax a bit and take our time with the poses. I'll be posting those soon. Wedding Film - "Always & Forever" I FINALLY finished a wedding movie for my dear friend Sydni McAllister. Through a series of events, it delayed the project. It only took me 2-3 weeks to make her wedding film. But it took a whole year to get to work on it. Her wedding was March 11th, 2017. It was finished a few weeks before their anniversary. I worked on it some here and there throughout the year. But the most work was in these past few months. This has been such a huge project for me. It's been a 14 month long journey. And honestly, I've loved it. I have appreciated the opportunity to make a wedding movie. And to make it for my good friend Sydni, at that. But also to make the other things that come with that.
At this point, I'm in the process of mailing them out. I mailed Sydni her DVD, as well as some CD's with pictures I took from her rehearsal day and wedding day. I also sent her the soundtrack, all in one package. I then mailed her a surprise poster that has her and Michael's vows on it. I can't wait for her to get it and see her reaction. I also mailed out a DVD to Josh Vest. My friend who filmed along side me. The whole thing was his idea. I just made it happen. But it was a privilege to get to work with him. I'm grateful he trusted me with his footage. I hope he likes overall what I did with his work and how I blended my footage with his. Graphics, websites & a lot of work Over all, this month I've been working on people's websites, and making graphics for different events. I've baby sat at the beginning of this month. And later this week will house-sit for a couple. April has been very eventful for me. Even though I only did 1 photoshoot, I've still had lots of other work I've been doing. But I am grateful for the break. It's allowed me to catch up on other projects. New videos to come... As I mentioned earlier, I made a new blooper video. Since I'm in the absence of not having anyone booked, I decided to use this time to catch up on my own personal projects. As well as work on projects that need to be done for other clients. So I'm going to try to make as many videos as I possibly can. Including some for my younger brother & I's youtube channel: "Playtime with I/C" which will be soon changed to "I/C Videos". It was my idea to give it a new name. This new name will be revealed in our Season 2 videos, along with a new logo and title sequence. The logo is going to have an "icy" look to it. I drew a quick draft for my brother and he totally loved it. In conclusion.... I'm staying busy. I'm working and I have content on the way for you. I just need some time for myself to add all this content to my site. Hopefully, I can make that happen soon.
If you read ALL of this, or scanned through it.... Thank you. I appreciate you taking the time to read this. Have a wonderful week. -LM (Song reference to "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons)
Quick update: I have officially finished uploading all the graphics to the "Clientele" section. So you can now see all the various graphics I've made for my clients.
In other news,... we will be moving into our new house in 2 weeks!!! I am completely and utterly excited and happy. Soon after, we will have internet. And hopefully progress will begin to move forward and we can get back up to speed. As far as my part time job goes, it's doing good. Hoping to start spending the money on things for my business. Well, that's all. Thanks for reading! Have a great week. -LM Quick updated. I finally had the chance to add some more of my graphics to the "Clientele" section. It was just the "events" page. But it's better than nothing. I'll try my best to add more soon.
Thanks for checking in. -LM |
