So much has happened since I last posted a blog entry.
I have created a wedding movie for a client of mine. Still waiting for her to finalize everything. But I'll be shipping that to her soon. I was booked for a weekend to do mini-session photoshoots for a few different people. It was going to be out of town. I was super excited for the road trip and the opportunity to work with people outside my local area. But the entire event was cancelled and reschedule for a weekend in March. It was a huge disappointment. Especially because of all my hard work and preparation I put into it. But things happen. And you just have to roll with it. I've been focusing on buying things for photoshoots. Props and things for effects, like reflectors. And still keeping all my pages updated. Including the site. Just added a new header. (finally) it had said "Happy New Year" for far too long. I like the new header. I have a photoshoot coming up in March of twin babies. It's their 1st Birthday. I'm super excited. It's going to be incredibly cute. I'll give some hints: Pearls, cupcakes, pastel colors. I can't wait to execute this and post pictures. Still working my part time job as a K3 Extended Care teacher. Staying busy with that. So a lot is happening,. It's mostly little things. Preparation for things to come. Trying to buy things I need for upcoming events. Things like that. I just purchased a car decal for my car window that says my name and information on it. It's really pretty! Or at least, I think so. I'm super excited about adding that to the back of my car. I'm hoping it will give me some more attention. And help spread the word about my business. Since I'm in traffic every day. Free advertising!! Yeah!! I've also been getting a lot of instagram followers which is awesome. I even got some more on facebook. So I have been getting more attention. Which is good for business. Hopefully some of those followers will be people who would like to hire me. We'll see. Either way, it's just nice for people to see my work and support it. I'm grateful for that. Always. I am happy to announce that the entire "Creatures" section is finito! Now all I have left to do is the other 5 sections in the "Personal Projects" photography section. Still a lot to do. But I've got 1 down! And that's progress. That's what counts!! I really want to get it all down so I can focus on other projects. I just want to be done with it. I have an obsession with finishing things. Like, can we please!? PLEASE. LET'S FINISH THIS. Like Home Depot. Let's do this! So yes, I'm still chipping away at that. I want to make a music video. I'm starving for it!! But I have other things that need my attention right now. Hopefully after the first of the year, I'll be able too. I'll keep you posted on that if and when that happens. I've also added a new "section" to the home page that features "personal stats" about myself. Basically letting first time visitors know what I've done thus far. In both my photography and videography. I quite like how it looks. The stats are low right now, but in time, I'm hoping they go up. Hey, gotta start somewhere right? In other news, I am going to look at a car Monday morning. (11/13) It's a white, Jeep Liberty. The Jeep is located in Montgomery, Alabama. Which is about an hour and a half from here. And in short, if I like it, we are leaving with it. Which means, I get to drive it back home. All. the. way. home. Which is nerve racking for me, but also very exciting. It will give me a good hour and a half to bond with my very first car! And learn the new vehicle. Having my own car is a HUGE deal. It's a very necessary and vital step that needs to happen before my business really takes off. It's not just convenient for me in my day to day life, It's also a great benefit to my business. I can take props with me for photoshoots. Let people ride with me, if they need it. And the biggest thing is I'll be able to travel as I need. Instead of borrowing my mom's car and leaving her stranded somewhere. I'll be able to hop in and drive to a location where I'm filming or photographing at, and not be wondering "how is my mom getting home?" I think having my own car will give me the convenience I've been wanting. Some peace of mind I've been lacking. And the confidence in knowing that I'll be able to move forward with my business, and not be hindered because of transportation issues. So all in all, I'm very excited for what's to come.

So, a lot has happened since I last updated this blog. We did move into a new house. And I did get my internet back. I've been working as much as I can on the site. Trying to get all my content that's on the old site, on to this one. Including some new content that wasn't added to the old one. I just finished the "personal pets" page and the "miscellaneous" page. I have "wildlife" left to do, and I'll be done with the entire "creatures" section. I still have the other sections to code for my personal projects photography section. I'm hoping it goes by faster than it has been while coding the "personal pets" page. It seemed to have taken forever. And I still have 2 pages to add content too in the "photography for clientele" section. I'm just taking it all, one page at a time. (Sounds like what the title of this entry should be.) I also FINALLY created a playlist for people to listen too while they browse the site. So you can now click on that on the front page and check that out. If you want. In the meantime, I've been booking people for photoshoots which makes me incredibly happy. It makes me feel like I'm a little bit closer to living my dreams. And don't get me wrong. I feel like I am. I'm just not living it to the fullest capacity that I'd like too. But baby steps. Baby steps. Every little session or piece of work I get to make for someone, takes me a little bit closer to my goals. It makes me feel like I'm heading in the right direction. And I'm doing all I can. Other than that, I'm busy with my 2nd job. And trying to learn how to balance my time between these 2 jobs. I'm also in the process of trying to get my first car! Super excited about that. But also really needing it. I hope something works out soon. It's getting difficult having to share a car and work around other people's schedules. Quick update: I have officially finished uploading all the graphics to the "Clientele" section. So you can now see all the various graphics I've made for my clients.
In other news,... we will be moving into our new house in 2 weeks!!! I am completely and utterly excited and happy. Soon after, we will have internet. And hopefully progress will begin to move forward and we can get back up to speed. As far as my part time job goes, it's doing good. Hoping to start spending the money on things for my business. So, first off THANK YOU to all the visitors who have visited my site this week. LOTS of page views. I was pleasantly surprised. Thank you so much beautiful people. I'll do my best to give you cool stuff to look at when you come here. Moving on now, we are under contract for a house. It's in our desired location. And the seller is actually someone we know. So we're super confident about this purchase. And we're very excited that next month we'll have our own house again. Which means for me, INTERNET!!!!! Which means for you, NEW CONTENT to look at. I'll be able to get back to regularly updating this site. I'm terribly excited!! The closing date is my Dad's birthday, September 5th. After that, we'll get settled in, get the internet hooked up and it's full steam ahead. I'm so excited and happy and I wanted to share it all with you. In the mean time, I'm starting a part time job. I start Monday. This will give me some money to put towards my business. I'm super excited for that as well. If I have any new details to share with you, believe me, I will. Great song by Imagine Dragons. "Whatever It Takes". I'm at that point right now. I'll do whatever it takes to get my site done. To get my business going. To catch up on my projects. I need to hustle more. I've got a lot to do. I have recently made a new music video. (just for fun) Completely unscripted. But I love how it turned out. I'm planning on posting it this weekend. In the meantime, I've got pictures to organize, edit and upload. Work is crawling at this point. Like I said, I just have to work harder. Time to hustle. I want to get some momentum going again.
